BioMind® is an innovative and versatile range of packaging materials with 70–100% recycled fibre content.

Recycle and reuse
The vast majority of raw materials used for producing the BioMind® materials are based on recycled fibres – with up to 100% recycling for chosen products. For all 30 products in the BioMind® series, the recycling range from 70 to 100%.
Depending on the technical values needed in the different BioMind® products, a combination of different fibres – close to virgin fibres – are used.
Reduce
The very essence of BioMind® is to limit the use of raw materials – through innovative methods which combine recycled and virgin fibres.
By innovatively combining the fibres, you will save resources without compromising the essential technical values needed to protect the final product.
With the right and intelligent combination of fibres, it is possible to reduce the amount of raw materials, polymers, and resources such as water and energy used for production.

With its high contents of recycling materials, BioMind® has been granted of number of certifications and approvals for specific usage:
- FSC®-certified
- Approved for food contact depending on product and application (either dry food/aqueous food/greasy and fatty food)
- Approved for refrigerator/freezer down to -21°C (for chosen products)
- Approved for ovens up to 220°C in max. 60 minutes (for chosen products)
- BfR-recommended, The Federal institute for Risk Assessment, Germany
- Approved for microwave (for chosen products)
- Able to recycle and repulp (for all products)
In terms of upcoming EU regulation, PaperMind Nordic will be complying in due time with the

The Nordic paper and board trading company, PaperMind Nordic, is the innovative engineer behind the BioMind® range. What was the starting point for inventing and developing the BioMind® series?
“Inventing BioMind® from scratch was based on a demand we saw in the market. Recycled fibres were becoming increasingly popular for some applications, but we really missed the recycled fibres in food packaging. When the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) was drafted in 2021, we saw a need for recycling the ever-increasing piles of packaging materials in the landfills all over Europe and as a natural consequence, we put our resources and focus into developing BioMind®”
